About The Illustrator

I live in New Hampshire with my husband, Brent.  Sometimes our son John comes to visit.  He always brings his cat.

In the summer we do a lot of sailing.  We have a small sailboat we keep on Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire and a larger sailboat we have moored in Rockland, Maine.  All of us love to go sailing!

My studio, where I spend most of my time, is upstairs in the barn. I’ve illustrated over twenty books and my work has appeared in many school books.  You may have seen my illustrations in a reading book, in your Social Studies textbook, or in Appleseeds Magazine.

I wrote my first picture book, The Winter Visitors, in 2007, and my second book, The Amazing Journey of Lucky the Lobster Buoy, in 2009.   Snowflake Comes to Stay, was completed in 2010 and The Summer Visitors, in 2011.

I also teach watercolor workshops. My watercolor paintings have been in juried and invitational shows throughout the country, including the Libby Museum in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, the Cincinnati Museum of Natural History, the Philadelphia Museum of Art’s Sales Gallery, the Catherine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club Show and the Salmagundi Club Open Show both in New York City.
